In an industry where feed quality directly impacts production and profitability, the equipment you use isn’t just a tool—it’s a business decision. That’s why Roto-Mix has reimagined the vertical mixer from the ground up, delivering a new model designed for producers who demand both capacity and consistency in every load.
For many mid-to-large dairies and feedyards, upgrading equipment happens when a mixer wears out—or as part of a planned rotation. But the modern producer is balancing more than just timing. With tight margins, limited labor, and pressure for consistent performance, the right mixer can play a critical role in overall productivity.
Roto-Mix designed this new vertical mixer with those realities in mind. It offers the capacity to handle 40,000-pound loads without compromising on mix quality—solving a long-standing challenge in high-volume operations.
At the heart of the redesign is an improved mixing system that ensures even, consistent feed throughout the tub. Larger diameter augers move feed more effectively, minimizing dead spots and improving flow. A thicker 5/8" mixing ring increases durability where it’s needed most, and optional stainless-steel liners on the augers, tub floor, and sidewall provide added protection for abrasive rations.
The redesigned discharge system includes a single large door for smoother feedout. This allows a slower auger speed during unloading—helping protect feed quality, prevent ration damage, and reduce mixer wear, and fuel consumption.
With adjustable capacity ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 cubic feet in 200 cu. ft. increments, producers can scale their investment to match their operation’s size and needs.
Unlike competitors offering triple-auger designs, Roto-Mix made a deliberate choice to stay with a twin-auger setup. This improves efficiency and simplifies operation—especially in trailer units, where managing three discharge doors is often impractical.
Twin augers also provide more consistent feed movement from front to back, improving mix uniformity without sacrificing load size or cleanout.
For operations where precision matters, this mixer becomes a key part of a larger strategy: delivering consistent, high-quality inputs that translate into consistent, high-quality outputs. Whether you're managing a dairy or feedlot, every component of your ration—and the equipment that delivers it—plays a role in long-term herd health and profitability.
With over 40 years of experience, proven patents, and a deep commitment to performance, Roto-Mix continues to lead with purpose-built solutions. This new vertical mixer is more than an upgrade—it’s a smarter, stronger, and more consistent tool for operations that expect more from every load.
